Hot Fudge Sauce Simple Ingredients Needed:
Cocoa
White Sugar
Whipping Cream
Salt
Butter
Vanilla Flavoring
Such simple ingredients yet such a wonderful sauce! People often ask what is the difference between hot fudge sauce and chocolate syrup.. well the thickness for one and the sauce has a more rich flavor. Hot fudge sauce is much thicker than the syrup. Plus the sauce gets cold and thick when refrigerated and the syrup will stay a much thinner consistency. You can easily heat this sauce up in the microwave! It reminds me so much of melted fudge.. which if you have followed our site for ANY amount of time, you know we love this 5 Minute Fudge!
If you love peanut butter and chocolate, I highly suggest topping some peanut butter ice cream with this delicious sauce. Such a delicious treat!

Hot Fudge Sauce
This hot fudge sauce is so easy to make! Wonderful over ice cream, cake or even waffles. Keeps for a few weeks in the fridge.
Servings: 1 cup
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook on top of stove until it boils, then continue on a low boil about 3 more minutes stirring often. This makes 1 cup of hot fudge sauce. I usually double the recipe.
