The latest leak on the Google Pixel Fold 2 suggests a notable redesign in its camera placement. Instead of the typical prominent camera bar that has been a feature on recent Pixel devices (including the first-gen Pixel Fold) the Pixel Fold 2 might introduce a square-shaped camera bump located in the corner of the device — This change aligns with previously leaked images shared by Android expert Mishaal Rahman, reinforcing the absence of a camera bar.

Bigger displays, a thinner body, and more
In addition to the camera redesign, the leaked renders indicate that the Pixel Fold 2 will feature larger displays; The inner display is expected to measure 7.9 inches (compared to the 7.6 inches on the first-gen device), and the cover screen is projected to be 6.4 inches, up from 5.8 inches.
The second-gen foldable device also appears slimmer, measuring 5.27mm when unfolded and 10.54mm when folded, as opposed to the original Pixel Fold’s 5.8mm thickness when unfolded and 12.1mm when folded.
Other details from the renders include a hole-punch camera on the inner display, as well as a USB-C port, speaker grill, microphone, and SIM tray located at the bottom of the device. The right side houses the power and volume buttons. Smartprix suggests that the Pixel Fold 2 could offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
However, it remains uncertain whether the Pixel Fold 2 will be equipped with Google’s Tensor G3 chipset (or the upgraded G4). If the G4 chipset is included, it might potentially delay the expected launch date from May to later in the year, as mentioned by Rahman.
