What is cookie monster ice cream? Sweet vanilla ice cream is absolutely loaded with cookie chunks to create this ice cream. It’s cookie monster’s version of cookies and cream ice cream and it has been a win with everyone who tries it.
Not a fan of food dyes? Just skip the blue coloring. The ice cream tastes every bit as delicious with or without it.

Cookie Monster Ice Cream
You’ll need the following ingredients to make this recipe:
- heavy cream
- milk
- sugar
- kosher salt
- vanilla extract
- blue food coloring OPTIONAL
- chocolate sandwich cookies
- chocolate chip cookies

Cookie Monster Ice Cream Recipe
Whisk together the cream, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Add blue food coloring and adjust the color, as desired. Whisk again to combine.
Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s directions. While the ice cream is churning, chop each cookie into 4 pieces.
Scatter 1 cup of cookie pieces in the bottom of a freezer-safe container. When the ice cream has finished churning, scoop half the ice cream over the cookies in the container, sprinkle the ice cream with 1 cup of cookie pieces.
Spread the remaining ice cream across the container and top with the remaining cup of cookie pieces. Freeze until firm.
